A Message from the Founder

As we celebrate entering our 7th year with Artists in Movement, we are overjoyed by the growth we’ve experienced. When I originally founded Artists in Movement, the goal was to provide students with the opportunity to explore dance-related subjects that are not typically taught at the studio level.

Now, as we enter our second year with four distinctly different programs, we are revisiting the original purpose of this intensive to ensure we remain aligned with its foundational goals.

For our advanced students, this will mean a greater focus on academic content, including pedagogy and choreography.  The goal is to help students decide how they want to incorporate dance into their future, exploring the various ways they can merge dance with other interests.

​

As we expand our Pro program for its second year, we will shift focus to showcasing choreography created by our Pro attendees.  These works will be featured in our showcase at the end of the intensive alongside instructor's choreography.  We look forward to seeing you at our 2025 intensive.
